Setting Up Bingo Games and Game Types

When was the last time you played a game of Bingo?  What are the different ways to play Bingo?  Is playing Bingo online different than playing at home or in a hall?  What are the online sites where you can play Bingo, and what are the different varieties of Bingo?  Maybe the last time you played the Bingo game was when you were a kid many, many years ago.  Well, things have changed since then.  Read on and find out how, and the Bingo game types are.  Once you know exactly what the game is like today, you will realize the great time you can have playing Bingo today whether you are in the United States, the UK, or Australia.

Setting Up a Bingo Game When Playing At Home or in a Hall

The goal of the Bingo game is, of course, to win.  However, what is required for a win differs when playing in America, the UK or Australia.

American Bingo

In the United States, a Bingo card has 5 rows horizontally and 5 rows vertically as shown above.  The BINGO word is spelled out one letter at a time above each row vertically.  The free space is usually at the center of the card.  In order to win the game, you must cover five squares in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row.  The games in the United States are 75 ball bingo.  Each of the 75 balls has a letter of the BINGO word and a number.  As each are called, you should cover the square corresponding to that letter and number.

British or Australian Bingo
The British and Australian Bingo cards have rows of 3 squares by 9 squares as pictured above.  Each square has a number in it.  Both the UK and Australia play 90 ball bingo.  The 90 balls each have a number on it.  As the balls are generated randomly, the number is called out by the caller.  The amount of money or the prizes are determined by the number of horizontal rows you are able to fill.  The cards are sold in flyers or books.  There are 10 bingo cards in each book, and the colors of the cards vary.

Setting Up the Bingo Game

·       Step 1: Assign the caller. -- If the Bingo game were held in a hall, the caller is usually chosen ahead of time.  The person who selects the balls with the letters and numbers on them.  It is the job of the caller to call out the number and letter combination to the players.

·       Step 2: The cards and chips are handed out. --  Each player is given at least one card, however, games may be played with each player getting several cards.  Having several cards increases your chances to win, but playing with only one card is easier.  Everyone should be given chips.

Playing Bingo at Home or in a Hall

1.    Caller selects a ball.  The caller selects one ball either from a spinner or bucket, but does not look at it.  In the United States, the letter and number is called out loud.  In the UK and Australia, just the number is called out loud.

2.    Each player places a chip on the corresponding square if their number combination is called out.

3.    If you get five in a row in the United States or a full row in the UK, shout the word "BINGO" immediately!  Be loud and clear.  It is your responsibility to be sure the caller hears you before the caller calls the next ball.   Once the caller begins the next ball's call, it will be too late for you to call "Bingo".

4.    The caller will ask you to read your marked winning row in order to clarify your win.  Of course, your win will be void if you made a mistake marking a square.

Playing Bingo Online

·       Select an Online Bingo Site.  Three sites you may select are:

·       123 Bingo Online: At this site, you will receive $50 free by using the code START50.

·       Bingo Flash: Play here and get $20 free as well as an extra 500% on your first deposit.

·       Bingo Knights: If you play at this site, you will receive $75 free and 350% on your first deposit.

·       Sign up on the Bingo site of your choice by creating your username and entering it into the Bingo website.  You should also supply the site with your address in order for you to collect your winnings and prizes.  Although most of the online Bingo games are free, some do require you to pay a fee before playing.

The format of online Bingo includes several items that appear in a pop up:

·       Your Bingo card or cards with the number that was just called.

·       A list of numbers called previously.

·       A list of the current online players.

·       A chat room that allows you to talk with the other players.  In order to chat with another player, type into the chat box and press "enter" on your laptop.

·       Online Bingo games can be won with the normal US, UK or Australian patterns or a pattern randomly generated.  The pattern you must follow to win can be found in one of the top corners of the game’s window.  You should note the winning pattern displayed and fill this pattern on your cards to win.  You can now begin your bingo game.  You will play with three cards.  When the website calls out numbers, you should click on the matching numbers on your card.

·       Match the designated pattern, and you’ve won!  Click the “Bingo” button.

Varieties of Bingo Games

Besides the 75 ball American Bingo game and the 90 ball UK and Australian Bingo game, the following are also varieties of the online Bingo games:

80Ball Bingo

This is a brand new and exciting version of Bingo games online.  The bingo cards of this game also known as shutter cards mark off the called numbers with slides to cover the numbered boxes.  The organization of the ticket is comprised of four rows and four columns.  Each column has a different color.  The call board of this game has five rows with 16 digits for a total of 80.  These are divided into four different color groups.

If you haven't tried this Bingo game, you should.  Then you'll understand why so many people find this fast-paced and action-packed bingo game so much fun.  You begin playing by first choosing the cards.  The "ticket selector" button you must click is above the cards.

Mini 30 Ball Bingo Game

This game is also known as Speed Bingo.  That is because it is a game that is so fast paced when compared to other types of Bingo games.

This bingo game is only available online.  It is unique in that it is the only bingo game that has a full house pattern.  It is also simpler to play than the other online bingo games since its system marks the numbers automatically eliminating the need for players to mark the numbers themselves.  Being a fast-paced game, it allows a greater number of winners per hour than the other games.  Having only nine numbers to match, Jackpot progressives are easier to win than with the other games.

Bankroll Management

The amount you set aside for playing casino games including bingo is your bankroll.  In order to effectively manage your bankroll, you should:

1.    Stretch your bankroll by playing with only a small number of players.

2.    Create a budget and stay within it.

3.    Look for promotional offers and bonuses and take advantage of them.

By managing your bankroll carefully, you will be able to play more sessions and will have a larger chance to win prizes and jackpots.

Conclusion

Of all the games on the internet, bingo is the most affordable and the easiest to play.  You don't need any special skills to play this game.  It is simply a game of chance eliminating the need for complicated strategies.

The purpose of this guide was to educate you about all the facets and types of Bingo when played at home, at a hall or online.  Have you enjoyed reading this guide?  If so, please share this article with others.

Bow Hunting Deer Tips

Bow hunting has been around as far back as prehistoric times or recorded history, and it is no wonder.  Unlike using a shotgun, bow hunting is an art form.  Many hunters love the excitement of tracking their prey.

There are many advantages to bow hunting.  For one, the bow hunting season is longer.  The deer aren't warned of your presence with the loud sound of gunfire, and bow hunting is far safer and more challenging than hunting with gunfire.

Perhaps some of the following bow hunting deer tips will help you to more successful in your deer bow hunting.

Deer Bow Hunting Tips for the First Time Hunters

Are you new to bow hunting?  If so, there are a few things you should do before heading out for the first time.

·       First, you must research what the laws are for bow hunting where you plan to hunt.  You need to know what kind of prey you can legally take.

·       Even if you aren't required by law to take an educational course, you should consider taking a bow hunting course.  A bow hunting course will inform you of the safety measures you need to follow when using your bow.  In addition, a course will also introduce you to the various parts of your bow, how to use the crossbow and arrows, how to ethically hunt, and safety measures as well.

Know the Species of Your Deer Prey

Five main categories of deer species currently identified include the White Tailed Deer, Mule Deer, Elk, and Caribou.

White Tailed Deer

Having a large population, the White Tailed Deer is frequently hunted.  They are native to the U.S., Canada, Central America, Mexico and South America.  This type deer can be described as a medium sized.  They have antlers that are pointy, but their identifying characteristic is the white coloring on the underside of their tails.  Older males develop white patches under their bellies and necks as well.

Mule Deer

Also having a large population, the Mule Deer is a species known to be hunted in many areas.  These deer are distributed throughout the world, but they are indigenous to western North America.  They can be found in the region west of the Missouri River or the Rocky Mountain region of North America.  Their name is based on their large ears that are quite similar to the ears of a mule.  Their size is considered to be small or medium and is dependent upon their region.  Two white areas are their identifying characteristics.  One is around their behind and the other is on their face extending from under their eyes to the mouth.

Caribou Deer

Caribou or Reindeer are large types of deer that are hunted in Alaska, Greenland and Quebec.  Their hooves make them uniquely suited to these areas since their design allows them to walk on top of soft ground or snow.  Perhaps the reason for their survival in cold regions is the fact that their hooves also make it possible for them to dig in snow for food below.  Both sexes of these deer actually grow antlers.

Moose

When it comes to size, no other deer can compare with the Moose

They have been found to weigh as much as 1,500 pounds, and some living in areas of Alaska weigh closer to 1,800 pounds.  In height, they can grow to a height more than 8 feet tall.  In spite of their large size, they are able to move rather quickly.  They can be found in North America, Canada, New England, Alaska, Latvia, Scandinavia, Russia and Estonia.

Elk

One of the largest species of deer are the Elk.  They are also known to be the biggest land mammal in North America and Eastern Asia and are native to both.  During the rut, males use ritualized mating behaviors.  These include antler wrestling, posturing, and bugling which is a loud series of noises made by the elk.  Their habitat is in the forest and the forest-edge.

Bow Hunting Deer Tips of Today’s Modern World

#1: Become Knowledgeable about Deer and Hunting Strategies

The best way to be a successful hunter is to know as much as possible about the animal you are hunting.  For instance, if you are hunting whitetail deer, you can become knowledgeable about them by reading books such as Mapping TrophyBucks or Strategies for Whitetail Deer Hunting.  You will have an advantage if you know how the deer will behave in various situations and what they are thinking.  You can also learn successful strategies from other hunters as well.

#2: Embrace Google Earth

For a birds’ eye view of where you plan to hunt, you can use Google Earth.  You'll be able to zoom highly detailed images that will help in picking the best strategic spots for your tree stand.  By zooming in, deer trails can easily be seen.  There's no better way to scout than on your computer by using Google Earth.

#3: It's Never Too Soon to Scout Your Spots

If you wait till just before the deer season starts to do your scouting, the result may very well be that you and other hunters will simply put the deer on alert.

You should be sure to start your scouting at least by August.  You can glass fields and put up trail cams on your hunting spot perimeter.  When you have the deer located, it's time to move in and relocate your cameras at your tree stand sight.  Get the cards from your cameras around two weeks before the season.  These card pictures will show you the best spot to hunt.

#4: Use Tarsal Gland Attractant

The best attractant we have used is without a doubt the tarsal gland scent.  Two days ago, my son spotted as many as nine deer walk right past him during an evening walk.  What attracted them?  They were trying to get to a mock scrape that he sprayed with tarsal juice.  Read our tarsal gland page to learn more about it.

#5: Grunt Calling

Grunt calling will trigger the curiosity of deer and put them at ease.  Grunts can be a form of sound communication of deer while other grunts can be more challenging such as the meeting of two dominant bucks.  Some grunts may simply signal a deer is in a breeding mood.

#6: Be Informed about Bow Hunting Equipment

Two great places to find information on bow hunting equipment are “Hunting Geeks” and "Bow Hunting Info".   You will find information about the newest bow, stabilizer, release, target, arrows, broad head, bow sights, tree stands, modern compound hunting bows and more.

#7: Antler Rattling Bow Hunting Deer Tips

·       Begin a sequence by tickling the antlers.  You don't want to spook the bucks, and not much volume is needed on calm mornings or evenings.  However, on windy, blustery days be sure to up the volume sufficiently.  Don't be afraid to go nuts.  You're duplicating the rage of two large bucks.

·       Use rattling on tracts with a good-doe-to-buck ratio.  If the doe-to-buck ratio is roughly 1-to-1, rattling will bring the best results.  It's not a good idea to use rattling on tracts where there is a high doe-to-buck ratio due to the lack of competition for breeding.

·       Rattling should be done close to the ground.  Realistic rattling can only be done on the ground.  Guess why?  Whitetails don't climb trees.  If you're up in a tree stand, you can dangle a pair of antlers from a camo rope.

·       Add a Buck Decoy to Your Site.  A deer decoy may be a help in luring in bucks and preventing spooking them.

Conclusion

Knowing the deer bow hunting laws, the five main deer species and where they can be found, the bow parts and how to use both the crossbow and arrows, the ethics of hunting and safety measures will certainly help you to be a successful deer hunter.  However, the best help of all we can offer you are the bow hunting deer tips.  In addition to the tips we have offered you above, you can also find twelve tips for bow hunting the rut at Grand View Outdoors.

Children Can Learn Life’s Financial Lessons Playing Monopoly

Monopoly may be a popular game, but besides being a great activity for a rainy day it is a fantastic tool for learning about life's lessons in finances.  Not only does this beloved board game provide hours of entertainment for children, but it also teaches valuable lessons in risk assessment, diversification and timing which are the tools for investing in today's real world.

Philip Orbanes, author of the book Monopoly, Money and You: How to Profit from the Game's Secret of Success, has been a judge for over 30 years of both the World Monopoly Championships and the United States.  As a judge, he certainly knows how Monopoly is played and is an expert on its many intricacies that can be learned in just a few hours of play.  Orbanes claims that by applying what consumers learned as children in Monopoly they are able to avoid bad investments as adults.

Investment Skills Learned by Playing Monopoly

1. Art of Negotiating:

Making deals and negotiating skills are absolutely vital to this game.  You must be aware of the fact that by being too soft you will be taken advantage of and being too harsh will discourage others from making deals with you.

In real life, we continually negotiate.  We negotiate with our parents, business partners, parents, kids, banks and many others.  To be successful, you have to know how to be efficient at negotiating.

Monopoly provides children the opportunity to safely learn how to negotiate financial dealings.  After all, it isn't real money you lose so making a mistake is no big deal.

2. Diversification

When playing Monopoly, the key to success is diversification.  The idea is to have a mixture of properties and not to put all your eggs in one basket.  By developing one color group, you may think you’re headed toward success, but that isn't enough to win.  In order to be in good shape, you must also have railroads and utilities to earn cash.  In real life, you shouldn't invest all your money in just one stock.  If that stock tanks, you lose all.  By diversifying, you avoid losing all when one stock crashes.

3. Seize Opportunities

Luck is not only part of the game, it is also part of real life.  You simply can't control everything in life as well as in the game.  The important thing is that when luck offers you opportunities you take advantage of them and make the most of them.  For instance, if you are lucky enough to get the first dice roll, you also have the first opportunity to buy as many properties as possible and avoid rent payments as well.  Therefore, by buying properties, you will be taking advantage of the opportunity and more likely to be successful.

4. Have Emergency Funds

When playing Monopoly, you never know when a chance card is going to require you to pay taxes, school fees, finance hotel improvements, or pay double rent on the nearest railroad.  Not having sufficient cash to cover the costs will mean it will be necessary for you to mortgage or sell your assets.  In real life, you must also have funds or assets available for emergencies.

5. Budget Your Cash

In order to stay in the game, you must know how to budget and plan for your expenses.  You must not only know how much money you have but also how much you will need to complete a round on the board again.  Monopoly also teaches you to be vigilant with your finances.  You don't want to deplete your cash before you pass Go.

Bandage Dresses can be Worn at Casual Lunches or for Cocktail Parties

Bandage Dresses are a Fashion Trend of 2016
A bandage dress is a tight-fitting dress that appears to be made from a number of thin strips sewn together.  The strips are shaped like bandages.  It is very similar to the “bodycon” dress that is derived from the idea of a woman being “body conscious”.  The similarity between the bandage and bodycon dresses is their both being tight-fitting in a way that highlights the hot curves of a woman.

As summer approaches, it's time to show off your curves by knowing how to wear a bandage dress.  As a fashionista, wouldn't you like to know how to show off all your luscious curves?

Dressing for a Casual Lunch or Meeting

When dressing for a casual lunch or meeting, you can look chic by wearing a bandage dress.

First, select a bandage dress that looks like a dress for daytime.  A sundress or peplum dress that is wider just below the waistline would fit the occasion.  Choose one that is a print such as a geometric or the best color for you.  For accessories, you can add either a matching clutch and jewelry.  Wearing flats or perhaps sandals would nicely add to that casual look.

Create an Outfit that is Dashing, Casual and Nifty

For a dinner date with a friend or a late night date at a cocktail bar, you want a look that is smart and dashing.  By wearing a bandage dress, you can create a voluptuous outfit.

Your bandage dress should be one of the colors considered smart such as black, dark blue, brown or grey.  Accessorize with either silver or gold jewelry.  High heels are a must for this outfit.

Enjoy a Night Out and Be a Show Off

For a big night out, you might try a bandage dress that shows off your curves.  A bandage dress with cuts on the waistline or exposed shoulders will certainly make you look hot and foxy.  Maybe a long back zipper or bare back will do the trick.  The colors should be basic such as silver, a shiny dark blue or a little black dress.   By adding a clutch bag and either platform shoes or stiletto heels, you will look fantastic.

Common Terms and Jargon in the Retail Industry

Before seeking employment in the retail industry, what do you really know about common terms and jargon in the retail industry?  Perhaps this list will help you to be more prepared for that first interview or job experience.
Pay-per-click Advertising: Pay-per-click advertising is used by retailers for marketing their products and/or brand. It is a sponsored link usually found on the right side or at the top of a Web page. When using pay-per-click advertising, you only pay when a person actually clicks through to your website.
Above the Line (ATL): A mass media technique used in advertising such as cinema, TVC, radio and search engines. These are used to promote brands. Since this type of communication is basically conventional, it is often considered to be impersonal by customers. However, it does help to establish your brand’s identity. Typically, it is everything you do before a customer actually enters your retail outlet.
E-mail Marketing: This is a marketing strategy in which the retailer sends customers e-mails including newsletters, friendly reminders or announcements of special events.
Brand Equity: Brand equity is the power of a brand gotten through its goodwill (link) and recognition earned over time of its name. This goodwill and recognition results into both a higher sales volume as well as higher profit margins against the competition.
Allowance: An allowance is a price reduction allowed for many different reasons such as merchandise being slightly defective or not being delivered when promised.
Break Even Analysis: A break even analysis is a tool used by marketers to forecast what the minimum sales volume must be for a company to make a profit. The factors used to forecast the point in which a company will realize a profit are the product’s price and both the fixed cost and variable costs of the product.
Profit and Loss Statement (P&L): A profit and loss statement is an account report highlighting the following: the total net profit, the cost of goods sold and revenues.
EDLP (Everyday Low Pricing): EDLP is a strategy in pricing in which the consumer is promised to always be offered the lowest available price without the use of coupons, discount promotions or comparison pricing. This strategy is believed to build shopper loyalty. However, its advantages also include the elimination of manufacturers’ cost to distribute and process coupons as well as retailers’ periodic expense and time of price markdowns.
Free on Board (FOB): When the shipping costs are totally the retailer’s responsibility and not the vendor’s, it is said to be free on board.
E-Marketing: Any form of marketing that is a digital technology such as mobile phones, Internet and email is known as e-marketing.
Bottom Feeders: If customers buy only clearance merchandise, they are referred to as being bottom feeders.
Forecast: Future demand of a specific product over an explicit time period is estimated in order to develop a forecast. The forecast is determined by market trends, historical data, feedback of the sales force and marketing data.

How to use Direct Response Marketing to Make More Profits Online

What is Direct Response Marketing?

The design of direct response marketing is one that compels prospects to take specific actions.  The actions prospects are called upon to take include calling for additional information by phone, choosing to opt in with an email address, the placement of an order, or going to a specific web page.  This type of marketing makes a call to action delivery possible as well as instant response and feedback through online or direct interaction.

Since the marketer and consumer interaction is pretty much on the spot, marketers are able to understand their products or services performance without having to endure a waiting period.

The key elements of direct response marketing include:
·        A proposal pitch
·        Enough information to allow the customer to consider the product or service
·        A call to action that is clear
·        Response options such as email, toll free phone number or visiting an online Web page

Examples of this type of marketing include both TV commercials and infomercials.  Usually a TV commercial will range from a thirty seconds duration to two minutes.  However, the format of a long infomercial is normally around thirty minutes.

The use of traditional media such as radio, newspapers or magazines may also be used to produce direct responses, but when they are compared to the interactive mediums of today, they are far less likely to receive adequate rates of responses.

By leveraging offline and online marketing tactics combined, Brian Kurtz created tens of millions in revenue for Boardroom Inc. with this type of marketing.

What Kind of Marketing is best for Small Businesses

Of the basic types of marketing, branding is the one used by big corporations.  If you’ve seen Coca Cola, apple and Nike ads on TV, you’ve seen examples of branding.  The idea of branding is to run lots of ads about your brand in order for your brand to be the one more people recognize because it is in their consciousness due to the large number of ads when making a decision to buy a product.  This type of marketing is very expensive and only large corporations are able to afford it.

On the other hand, direct response marketing that compels prospects to take one of many options to respond to the marketing ads is more cost effective if you use the right strategies.

Direct Response Marketing Strategies

  • Track Your Ads: You should track your ads in order to know which generate responses.  With brand marketing, you don’t know which of your ads brought a response.
  • Measure the Ads’ Effects: You will always know how effective an ad has been since you will know which of your ads have had responses as well as how many sales were made from each of your ads.  This information allows you to know which ads you should drop because they are not giving you a return on your investment.
  • Make an Offer: The offer you make in your ad must be an irresistible offer.  You want your target to believe what you have to say is important to them because it is in their best interest.  The idea is not to try to sell anything but rather to get the prospect to take the next action.  For instance, the next action could be to request a free report.
  •  Your Headline Should be a Killer: Most people or 99.9% are too busy to pay attention to online ads.  Therefore, you must make your ad stand out, and, for that reason, your headline is the most important element of your ad.  According to David Ogilvy, the number of people who read an ad is far less, five times less, than those that read only the headline.  Instead of mentioning the product you’re trying to sell in the headline, you need to say something that will get the prospect to continue reading.  For example, Ogilvy wrote the following headline “How Women Over 35 Can Look Younger" for an advertisement about face cream.  John Caples suggests a good headline should include these three key elements:
           1. Valuable benefits are promised the reader.
           2.It should be newsworthy.
3.It should raise the curiosity of the reader.
  •  Call for Action: You should ask the reader to act in some way in response to your ad.  Your call to action should:
    • Ask the reader to do one specific thing after reading the ad.
    • Ask the reader to complete an action that is very easy for them to do.
Following this principle, Newsweek sent out a letter offering a special introductory rate as well as a full refund if not fully satisfied.

Direct One-Shot or Two-Plus Step Approach (Campaign)

Direct One-Shot Approach: After figuring out who your ideal clients are, you create online marketing pieces such as emails or online ads.  The idea is to reach the right people who are most interested in what you are offering.  Your marketing piece must be done so well that your client will take action by making a phone call, clicking a button or placing an order.  An example of success with this approach is the maker of Trainz selling over one million games since 2001 with this approach.

Two-Plus Step Approach (Campaign): The campaign begins much the same way as the One-Shot.  However, your goal is different with the campaign.  Instead of making a sale with one shot, you simply want to create a list of ideal clients in order to allow you to send out messages over time.  As you provide your clients with information, you strive to move them along from interested to ready to make a purchase.  You won’t have a surge of sales instantly with this approach, but you should make more sales over time.  Two examples of this approach are Groupon and Living Social.  With both TV and online advertising, they were able to drive millions of prospective customers to their websites.  Once the prospects have signed up, they get daily email reminders of specials.

E-Learning Strategies: Integrating Technology in the Classroom

   E-Learning Definition

Basically, eLearning is learning with the use of electronic technologies in order to access educational curriculum or training outside the customary classroom.  It usually is a course, program or degree that is administered totally online.

Other terms used to describe learning that is conveyed online through the internet are computerized electronic learning, Distance Education, internet learning, online learning and many others.  However, eLearning is commonly defined as courses delivered through the internet from a location other than a classroom with a professor teaching.

The course is not conveyed by a CD-ROM, television channel, CD, DVD or video tape.   It can’t be conveyed by these because it should be interactive allowing you to communicate with professors, teachers or other students in your class.  At times, it is conveyed live, and the raising of your hand can be done electronically allowing you to communicate in real times.  It may also consist of a prerecorded lecture.

Nevertheless, a professor or teacher should always be present and available to communicate and interact with you as well as grade your assignments, tests and participation.  Of all the uses of technology, E-Learning is considered to be an effective, up-and-coming method of education and training.

Online Classroom Tools

One of the ways teachers are integrating technology in classrooms is by using white boards also known as SMART Boards.  The idea behind these electronic SMART Boards is that they are interactive.

The SMART Boards are replacing the dry-erase white boards in the everyday classrooms and are electronic devices that operate along with computer software.  Offering a large variety of color and tools, the SMART Boards allow students and/or teachers to draw or write on the board.  They can also use their hands to draw or move objects.  In addition, just as you can save your work on a computer, you can save your work on the SMART Board.

Teaching with technology through the use of apps makes it possible to not only write and sketch on SMART Boards but to also customize them with fun features.  The results of this are that your students will be kept alert and their attention spans will also improve.

Apps for the SMART Boards include:
·        Sketchlot:  This free app is designed to be used on any device with a web browser such as an iPad, MacBook or an Android tablet.  Both teachers and students can use it.

Teachers can create their own account and create a list of students within that account as well.  The teacher assigns a password to each student, and the student can then use his or her password to share drawings with the teacher.

After teachers create as many drawings as they want, these drawings can be shared with one student at a time or all the students at the same time.  Science diagrams, math questions or text can be produced by the teacher.  After viewing these, students can reply and interact.  Students can also create their sketches to share with the teacher as well, thus completing the interaction.

Teacher sketches can be posted on the class website, tweeted on Twitter, or pinned on Pinterest.

·        Awwapp.com: Using your laptop, desktop computer, Smartphone or tablet, teachers can work on a whiteboard in the classroom.  Without requiring any downloading, this app provides a few tools that are easy to use and have a lot of versatility.  A color tool offers a rainbow of colors for use in a diagram, and a pencil tool offers three different size tips along with an eraser function.

Besides using this app with the classroom white board, it can also be used on a classroom or school website.  However, to embed it into a site currently costs $10 a month.

·        PixiClip: With PixiClip, you can doodle, record an audio message and create a video.  On its whiteboard space, besides drawing you can upload images and mark and type onto them as well.  A teacher or student can add elements to their PixiClip whiteboard and while talking record a video.  These videos can be put onto social media for sharing or be embedded into blog posts.  In order to use PixiClip’s service, you don’t have to start an account.  However, creating a free account is necessary in order to save your recording, therefore, allowing you to later edit it and, of course, present it again.

·        Stoodle: With Stoodle, teachers and/or students create collaborative whiteboard space.  For a complete, comprehensive presentation, you are able to draw, type and upload images as well.  While you draw, type and share images, you can converse with your collaborators by connecting Stoodle to the microphone on your computer.  You do not have to create an account in order to use Stoodle.  You simply click “launch a classroom” and name your classroom as well as the URL that has been assigned to your

E-Learning Apps

The following apps can be used in classroom as well as business presentations.  The most obvious of the advantages of e-learning provided by them is the inspiration and their captivating elements.

·        Prezi: All teachers at one time or another try to improve their instruction by learning strategies.  Prezi is an app you will find superior to the PowerPoint presentations you most likely have created in the past when presenting your lesson or when making a presentation to parents, other teachers or administrators.  For that reason, it’s time to replace PowerPoint with the Prezi slide show program that will enable you to create spectacular, skyrocketing presentations.

The Prezi app provides users with templates to choose, images to add, text, arrows, frames, videos and more.  Instead of static slides, the zoom, motion and spatial relationships will engross you audience in such a way that they will most likely remember your message.

When your presentation is complete, you have two options.  These include your sending the URL of your presentation to your students for the first option.  For the second, you can download your presentation in order to present it to your students later.

Discounts are available for both teacher and students when a school email address is used to sign up.

·        Animoto Video Maker: With the Animoto Video Maker, you can create videos that are both engaging and fun.  You choose a template for the background and a song to create a style for your video.  Your photos, text and videos can be added by you to create the customization of your video.  This app is great for teachers, professionals and photographers.  Teachers can create 30 second videos for their student for free with the Animoto Lite Plan.  The finished videos can be produced and shared via email, messages, Facebook and Twitter.

·        Glogster Edu: Glogster Edu  can be used to create and present interactive posters or as a resource for digital learning.  In creating an interactive poster, you can customize it by adding images, text, arrows, shapes, captions, videos and other media.

The Glogpedia Content Library is a digital resource for teachers and students to find both information and inspiration.  This library currently consists of over 40,000 Glogs from classrooms around the globe.

Students can create their own Glogs individually or in cooperative groups to present to the class as an assignment or project.  When the Glogs are complete, students should click “save” in order to later present them to the class.

·        Kizoa: With Kizoa, you can create slideshows, videos or animated collages.  In order to create a collage or slideshow, you begin by selecting a picture that will be the background and adjusting the picture so that it blends in nicely.  You then select animations, transitions and music that suit your presentation.  Create and edit the text, and you have a fantastic presentation to share with either a link or email.
